30,000 missing performers owed webcasting royalties

Last night's CBS news contained a piece about the royalty society that collects money owed to performers for the webcasting of their work. The society is currently holding money for some 30,000 performers who cannot be located. Good thing we extended copyright terms -- otherwise those missing performers would never have had the motivation to record their songs 50 years ago. 4MB Quicktime Link
