Unions aligned against Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's package of reforms rallied Tuesday night outside a hotel where the governor was raising money for a slate of potential ballot measures.
About 2,000 protesters demonstrated outside the Ritz-Carlton hotel in San Francisco, where Schwarzenegger was hosting a fundraiser on behalf of proposed ballot measures he hopes to qualify for a special election next fall.
A plane flying overhead carried a banner reading "ARNOLD: CALIFORNIA IS NOT FOR SALE" and some protesters carried signs, once which said, "''ARNOLD CAN'T BE BOUGHT, BIG BUSINESS ALREADY OWNS HIM."
