Halliburton Stonewalling Pentagon Auditors

In an Aug. 16 memo to the U.S. Army Field Support Command, the Defense Contract Audit Agency strongly urged the Army to withhold 15 percent or about $60 million a month from Halliburton's reimbursements to prod the Houston firm to clear its books.
The memo, released Tuesday, shows a growing impatience by some at the Pentagon with Halliburton's effort to get its paperwork up to date.
